About me
I offer a calm, nurturing, home to home environment where dogs feel safe, settled, and genuinely cared for. My approach is built on patience, understanding, and a lifelong love of animals, with each dog treated as an individual and cared for as part of the family.
My love for animals began in my early childhood, growing up in Africa where nature was part of everyday life. Some of my fondest memories are of camping trips and horseback riding through the bush, experiencing wildlife up close. I was even lucky enough to have a pet warthog called Petunia — a truly unforgettable start to a lifelong bond with animals.
When my family later moved to Spain, that connection only deepened. It was there that I adopted a street dog named Darty, who became an incredibly special part of my life. Darty was loyal, gentle, and constant, accompanying me and my family on many camping trips in the mountains of Andalucía. He shared my teenage years and stayed by my side well into adulthood, living to the age of 18. It was through Darty that my true passion for dogs was formed.

After spending many years living and working between Spain and London, I met my husband. As our family of two beautiful children grew, we made the decision to move from Battersea to Cheam. Wanting more outdoor space and my children to grow up with a dog, we adopted Max (originally known as Tividar) through the Vislamentes organisation.
One spring day, after leaving a job interview, I took a walk through Nonsuch Park. I noticed a woman walking several dogs, all happily exploring and moving together, and in that moment something clicked. I realised that being outdoors, working closely with dogs, and providing them with care, companionship, and structure was what I truly wanted to do.
It was in 2018, that I started out with Paws Park Walks. Wanting to do things properly from the start I applied for and was given my first licence from Sutton Council and was able to offer dog walking and boarding services. Like many small businesses, everything came to a sudden halt during Covid and I restructured the business focusing on doggy day care. Through word of mouth, this gradually grew into a trusted service with a regular group of dogs who know one another well and feel settled together whilst in my care. For many puppies, lockdown was a particularly challenging time. Limited socialisation and long periods spent solely with their owners led to anxiety and separation issues for some dogs. I worked patiently and consistently with many of these dogs, giving them the extra care, reassurance, and confidence they need to thrive and they are still with me.
Caring for dogs isn’t just my work — it’s my passion and something I feel very fortunate to do every day. My approach is very much home to home, offering a calm, nurturing, and enriching environment where dogs feel safe, understood, and genuinely cared for. Every dog is treated as an individual, and I am deeply committed to their emotional and physical wellbeing.
